Musical shows coming to Oakville Performing Arts Centre this fall

The fall season at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts is starting to take shape.
A pair of shows have been announced that will bring a touch of folk and country to the local stage.
First up is The Rowdymen on Oct. 24 at 8:30 p.m. with The Songs & Stories of Newfoundland.
Vocalist George Masswohl and percussionist Greg Hawco of the hit musical Come From Away join legendary guitarist Gerry Finn (David Usher, Killer Dwarfs, Burton Cummings) to bring the music, stories, and spirit of Newfoundland to the audience.
Curating a rich blend of traditional, contemporary, and original Newfoundland music, The Rowdymen evoke the unique energy and spirit of Newfoundland and her people.

About a week later is We Walk The Line: Tribute to Johnny Cash on Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
We Walk The Line is a musical event that celebrates the life and legacy of “The Man In Black” through his hit songs like Ring of Fire, Boy Named Sue, and Jackson.
“Don’t miss this chance to relive classic moments from Johnny’s career spanning more than six decades as he takes you down memory lane with historical accounts and personal anecdotes about America’s country legend.”
