One of Milton’s favourite festivals, the annual Hops & Harvest, is coming back to town next month.

Hops & Harvest is an autumn festival that features local food, beverage and marketplace vendors, all enjoyed in the great outdoors against the beautiful backdrop of the Niagara Escarpment.

The event, organized by Conservation Halton, is inspired by the colours of the escarpment, the patchwork of farm fields, and the abundance of fresh produce appearing in farmer’s markets and returns Oct. 13-15.

“Our festival will showcase more than 40 local and small businesses, including craft breweries and cideries, artisans and makers, and a variety of food vendors selling delicious and seasonal fare,” said an event spokesperson.

Among this year’s vendors are Wellington Brewery, Backed by Bees, MVP Brewing Co., Casaligo Burger, Super Churros, Mojo Peppa Sauce, Twiss Farms, and more.

In addition, Hops & Harvest offers a lineup of musical performances on the main stage, including Hayley Verall, Jason Maxwell, The Blackstones, Broadtree, ASD Band, Darren Hancock Band, Holly Clausius, CJ Cooper, and Fast and Loose.

New for 2023 is the Kids Zone Stage, where visitors will find games and family-friendly entertainment all weekend long.

Other activities, which have an extra fee, include face painting, archery and hatchet throwing.

Hops & Harvest is runs on Friday, Oct. 13, from 1 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
