Halton Hills culture days

Halton Hills is celebrating Culture Days with a jam-packed program full of more than 120 activities.

Being held from Sept. 20 to Oct. 13, the events include music, film, theatre, visual arts, heritage, and active living and they’re all free or by donation.

The theme of this year’s annual event is 50 Years of Halton Hills; Vision for the Future as the Town celebrates its 50th anniversary.

“Culture Days is an exceptional showcase of our community,” said Mayor Anne Lawlor of the ninth annual event.

“Our many artists, cultural groups, organizations and businesses contribute to the high quality of life that we enjoy in Halton Hills. I invite residents to explore the activities on offer, try something new and make connections through the opportunities in your neighbourhoods.”

Program Highlights include:

  • The Red River Ramblers (John Elliott Theatre, Sept. 20, 7:30 p.m.)
  • Ishpendaagaabwi: Standing with Pride (Helson Gallery, ongoing)
  • Playlists at the Pool: Musical Swims (Gellert and Acton pool)
  • Doors Open (sites across Halton Hills, September 29)
  • Music in the Plaza (HHPL & Cultural Centre, Sept. 21 and 28)
