Multi-building development proposed for busy Milton intersection

A public meeting is being held so Milton residents can have their say about a proposal to build a massive development on the northwest corner of Britannia Rd. and Regional Road 25.
The application would see eight buildings, all between 12 to 15 storeys, being constructed. Included would be 1,768 residential units and more than 900 sq.-m. of ground floor commercial uses.
The statutory public meeting is being held Monday, Oct 23, at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, 150 Mary Street.
The applicant originally submitted planning applications in June 2018 and a public meeting was held in August 2018. The applicant has now resubmitted an updated planning application with changes to the original concepts submitted.
The proposed zoning bylaw amendment includes site-specific standards to permit the proposed development within the Boyne Survey Secondary Plan.
The community is invited to virtually attend and/or participate in the meeting. You can fill out the delegate request form to participate. Forms must be submitted by noon on Oct. 19, 2023.
If you miss the delegate request deadline, you can request to make an oral submission during the meeting by dialling in to the dedicated phone number at 1-866-511-0021.
Residents can review the electronic delegate meeting guide submitting your request. Town staff will contact you with further instructions. You will be given step-by-step instructions on how to enter and participate in the meeting.
Those who register during the course of a live meeting will not have the ability to provide on-screen presentations due to the absence of pre-screening. All written submissions received will be forwarded to Council following the meeting.
If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the Zoning By-law amendment or receive a copy of the documents, you must email the town clerk. You can also email if you want the documents in an alternative format such as braille, large print, electronic or plain language.
