Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries after colliding with van on Oakville highway

A motorcycle driver was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries in a serious collision with a van Tuesday evening (Oct. 22) on an Oakville highway.
Burlington OPP is investigating after the driver of the van failed to remain at the scene of the crash.
The serious collision between the motorcycle and a light-coloured passenger van took place around 7 p.m. on the westbound QEW before Dorval Drive.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a nearby trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
“The driver of the van did not stop,” said Burlington OPP.
The OPP is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-cam video of the collision to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E241418198.
The two left lanes remain closed for investigation.
“Expected re-opening will be several hours,” said OPP.
