Motorcyclist killed following collision near Oakville hospital

A collision Wednesday morning in Oakville has left a motorcyclist dead.

The collision, which occurred around 11 a.m. near Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, involved a motorcycle and another vehicle

Halton Regional Police say the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene. The victim’s name has not been released.

No other injuries were reported.

Police have yet to lay any charges.

The crash resulted in road closures and major traffic delays in the area for several hours. All roads were opened up shortly before 3 p.m.

Dundas St. was closed westbound at Third Line and eastbound at Postmaster Dr. Hospital Gate was also closed to southbound traffic.

The collision has also resulted in the detour of Oakville Transit routes.
