Month-long closure in store for busy Burlington road

Drivers can expect some some disruption along a well-traveled route beginning in the new year.

No. 1 Side Rd. between Guelph Line and Walkers Line will be closed from Jan. 2 until Jan. 26 as construction crews do their work.

The work includes the replacement of two culverts along the stretch of road.

Some of the work is currently taking place until the end of the week but the road will remain open throughout Christmas and New Year’s Day.

During the period when the road is closed a detour route along Dundas St. is planned. Signs will be posted in the area to assist motorists.
