Double shooting in Burlington leads to charges against Mississauga man

An arrest has been made in connection with a double shooting in downtown Burlington.

The incident took place in the early hours of June 25 in the parking lot of the Port House restaurant in the Lakeshore Rd. and John St. area, according to Halton Regional Police.

The two victims suffered gunshot injuries and were transported to hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.

On Monday, police made an arrest but another suspect remains at large.

Terrell Urquhart, 23, of Mississauga is now charged with two counts of attempted murder with a firearm and possession of an unauthorized firearm.

Urquhart was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
