Milton is calling all youth to check out the Milton Youth Space, which has been open at the Milton Sports Centre at Santa Maria Boulevard for a month.

The Milton Youth Space is an inclusive drop-in space for teens aged 13-18 that was designed with input from local youth, including the Milton Youth Task Force.

Opened September 27, the space has been provided to give teens a place to gather, socialize and study. Supervised by trained youth engagement leaders, it’s the ultimate hangout spot, featuring:

  • A kitchenette with snacks (courtesy of Food for Life)
  • TV and video games and a ping pong table
  • Lounge area
  • Individual seating for studying with charging stations
  • Food bank
  • Clothing exchange
  • Support services from ROCK and ADAPT
  • Movies, video games and board games
  • Arts and crafts as well as other special events and programing

Drop-in visits are welcome from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, excluding statutory holidays.
