The Town of Milton wants to make sure a plot of land in the downtown area remains in its natural state.

A statutory public meeting has been scheduled by the Town of Milton’s Development Services Department for a zoning by-law amendment for lands located at 150 Steeles Ave. E.

The zoning application has been submitted for a portion of the property to facilitate the remediation of land within the existing limits of the Regional Natural Heritage System.

The application proposes to rezone a portion of the property from Business Park to the Natural Heritage System zone.

There is no development being proposed as part of this application.

The public meeting is being held Monday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 150 Mary St. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the Town’s YouTube channel.

The community is invited to attend and participate in the statutory public meeting which is being held as a hybrid meeting with councillors having the opportunity to participate in-person at Town Hall or electronically.
