Milton Transit fare increase takes effect next month

The price of a bus ride in Milton will be going up in January.

Milton Transit announced an across-the-board fare increase to “help offset the costs associated in expanding and improving service for riders.”

Effective Jan. 2, here are the increases for each age category.

Youth ages 13 to 19

• Cash fares – $4.25 from $4
• 10 Tickets – $25 from $23
• Monthly Pass – $68 from $63

Adult ages 20 to 64

• Cash fares – $4.25 from $4
• 10 Tickets – $34 from $32
• Monthly Pass – $91 from $85

Seniors age 65+

• Cash fares – $4.25 from $4
• 10 Tickets – $23 from $22
• Monthly Pass $57 from $54

Customers can purchase tickets and passes through the Token Transit mobile app or at open ticket agents. Alternatively, customers can use exact cash for payment upon boarding the bus.
