Milton residents over the age of 16 and living in the L9E postal code can book vaccine appointments starting Friday, April 30.
Individuals must have had their 16th birthday at the time of their first dose.
According to the Halton Region website, appointments for residents 16 and 17 years of age will continue to be limited to hospital clinic locations (Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and Joseph Brant Hospital), to ensure they receive the Pfizer vaccine, which is the only vaccine in Canada approved for individuals 16 and 17 years of age.
Residents are required to provide proof of residency at their vaccination appointment.
The Provincial government has deemed the Milton L9E postal area as a “hot spot” due to high rates of COVID-19.
