Milton ranks 1st for most Thanksgiving shopping done in the GTA

Thanksgiving is almost here, and Milton residents take the holiday very seriously, according to stats recently released by Sobeys.

The major Canadian supermarket chain recently used stats from their online grocery delivery service to determine which cities in the GTA and Canada are shopping the most for classic Thanksgiving foods.

In their report, Milton shoppers ranked first in ordering the most pumpkin puree, sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin pies and cranberries during the Thanksgiving season.

“A close second is East Toronto, where people fancy ordering sweet potatoes, carrots and pumpkin pies,” said Sobeys.

Top 3 GTA cities that bake the most with pumpkin puree:

1. Milton
2. West Toronto (Bloor West Village / Swansea)
3. Wellington (Elora)

Top 3 GTA cities that eat the most sweet potatoes:

1. Milton
2. East York (Woodbine Heights)
3. East Toronto (The Danforth East)

Top 3 GTA cities that ordered most 2 lb carrot bags:

1. Milton
2. Georgetown
3. East Toronto (The Danforth East)

Top 3 cities eating the most Compliments brand pumpkin pie:
