Man suffers life-threatening injuries following multi-vehicle crash in Burlington

A serious collision involving three vehicles unfolded in Burlington yesterday (Oct. 13)

According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the incident occurred on Highway 6 near the 5th Concession St and Parkside Drive, leaving an 80-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

“A southbound vehicle crossed into northbound lanes, sticking two vehicles that were travelling northbound,” said OPP officer Kerry Schmidt.

“The most serious person is the driver of the southbound vehicle. The other drivers are being treated for minor injuries,” Schmidt added.

The 80-year-old man in the southbound vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for urgent medical attention.

Burlington OPP is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this collision.

Road closures were put in place on Highway 6 between Parkside Drive and the 5th Concession until 6 p.m. yesterday and have since been lifted.
