Man in black steals car, knocks down 80-year-old Burlington shopper

A woman was knocked down as a carjacker made off with her vehicle at a Burlington plaza.

Police reports say the 80-year-old had just finished shopping at the No Frills at 571 Brant Street when she was loading her groceries into the car just before 11 a.m. on Oct. 9.

A man then approached and got into the vehicle and sped off, knocking the woman to the ground.

She sustained minor injuries.

The person who stole the car was wearing a black sweater, black pants and black shoes.

The vehicle was a Mercedes sedan.
