Man found severely beaten in Burlington, police want to know what happened

An appeal has gone out to the public to provide leads into an investigation of what police believe to be a serious assault that took place in Burlington.

Halton police believe an altercation took place near the Burlington Power Centre (Brant St. and North Service Rd.) yesterday (Oct. 3) between 1 and 2:45 a.m.

Investigators say a passerby found a 38-year-old man in the area suffering serious injuries. An ambulance was called and the man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Police are reviewing sources of video surveillance and are appealing for anyone with information, any eye-witnesses to this event or those having dash cam video to contact the #3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747 ext. 2316.
