Man allegedly hit with hammer in violent Oakville home invasion

An adult male was allegedly struck with a hammer in a violent home invasion in the early morning hours of Wednesday (Sept. 4) in Oakville.

Two men broke into a home located on Heritage Way smashing the glass on the front door just minutes before 4 a.m.

The two perpetrators, who were wearing dark clothing, came upon a male adult upstairs and demanded the keys to their Mercedes SUV which was parked in the driveway.

It was alleged at that time that resident of the home was struck in the face with a hammer by one of the masked men. The two men would flee in the stolen Mercedes.

The resident of the home struck with the hammer had minor injuries.

Police are asking anyone with dashcam or doorbell video footage in the are of Heritage Way, Upper Middle Road, and Third Line during the early hours of Wednesday night to contact Halton police at 905-825-4777.
