An Oakville convenience store owner is recovering after a what is being called a vicious attack by another man on Saturday morning (Oct. 7).

A man, who didn’t want his name used, told halton.insauga.com that the owner of the New Ranch Market, located at 306 Kerr St., was assaulted by another man over what was an apparent beef over the debit machine at the store.

What the man’s issue with the bank machine isn’t known, but halton.insauga.com was told that the alleged attacker was “waiting for him” when he opened the store in the morning.

Reports are that the store owner was assaulted shortly after.

The store remained closed for some time following the incident.

Inhalton.com reached out to Halton Police about the incident but did not hear back.
