Major upgrades coming to park used by Burlington and Oakville residents

The final stage of upgrades will soon begin at a lakefront park enjoyed by both Burlington and Oakville residents.

Work that will be carried out at Burloak Waterfront Park will see a new play area and splash pad for children as well as increased parking and improved washroom facilities.

The project will begin next spring and be completed by the end of 2024.

Upgrades at the park have been ongoing since 2017 and have been completed in various stages. These include the addition of outdoor fitness equipment, a promenade along the waterfront, a gazebo and more seating areas and a boat launch, among others.

As well, there has been the addition of native plants and shrubs and the removal of invasive plant species.
