Major updates have been released surrounding road closures in Milton

Crucial updates have just been provided to the public regarding a road closure announcement in the Milton area.

Municipal officials have updated a road closure surrounding the main intersection of Fifth Line and Derry Road.

In a post to X (formerly Twitter)  from yesterday (Oct. 7), it was indicated that to streamline improvements to some paving updates, Fifth Line will be closed north of Derry Road from Oct. 15 – 17, 2024.

In order to facilitate intersection improvements and paving in the intersection of Fifth Line and Derry Road, Fifth Line will be closed north of Derry Road from Oct. 15 – 17, 2024.

However, an update provided today (Oct. 8) indicated that during this timeline, the impacted region north of Derry Road would only be experiencing closures on a nightly basis from 8 pm to 6 am.

Please note that this is a nightly road closure. Fifth Line will be closed north of Derry Road between 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. from Oct. 15 – 27, 2024.
