Major stretch of Milton road is back open again

Bronte St. N. in Milton is now open.

After several weeks of closure on this stretch between Main St. and Steeles Ave., motorists were able to get back on the road again today (June 30).

The closure had Milton drivers searching for alternative routes which often proved frustrating, especially during rush hours.

“I can’t believe it, finally I can take my favourite route again,” commented Rebecca Sonju on social media. “There has been so much work done here. Hopefully, it won’t be closed again any time soon.”

The road was closed to facilitate railway crossing reconstruction and realignment of Bronte.

“The reconstruction of this road is an important project as part of our community investments,” noted the Town of Milton just before the work on Bronte began.
