Major road in Halton Hills will be closed for several months

A major rural road in Halton Hills will be closed for several months beginning in July.
Sixth Line, between Hwy. 7 and 22 Side Rd., will be closed from July 10 to October for the replacement of a culvert.
The existing culvert will be removed and replaced with a new, precast culvert unit. Work includes the culvert removal and replacement, asphalt removal, excavation, grading, asphalt paving, line painting, guiderail installation and associated restoration works.
Traffic will be directed to detour to Fifth Line between Hwy. 7 and 22 Side Rd.
There will be no through traffic for the duration of the project. Access for emergency vehicles and to private residences will be maintained during the road closure.
