Major new grocery store opening up in Milton

A new grocery store is coming to south Milton.

A sign announcing the arrival of FreshCo has been erected at the new plaza under construction on the southeast corner of Thompson Rd. and Louis St. Laurent Ave.

FreshCo is a discounted grocery chain owned by Sobeys with hundreds of stores across the country. It offers both national and house brands and has set itself up as a more enjoyable shopping experience than some other discount grocery chains.

This will be the first FreshCo in Milton and the plaza is expected to open later this year.

FreshCo offers several flyers for discounts as well as an app that can be used to save more. Scene members also have access to in-store savings.
