Major Halton Hills road will be closed longer than expected

A major road in Halton Hills will be closed another few days while Halton Region continues to provide upgrades.
To accommodate growth, Halton Region is expanding the water and wastewater systems on 10 Side Road (Reg. Rd.10), Eighth Line, and Mountainview Rd. S., Wards 2 and 4, in Georgetown.
Originally scheduled to be completed Sept. 15, the road closure at the intersection of Barber Dr. and 10 Side Road will be extended until Sept. 22. This closure is needed to facilitate the water main installation through the intersection.
Traffic will continue to be detoured using Eighth Line, Danby Rd., and Mountainview Rd. S. Motorists should expect delays when travelling through the area. Access to and from the multi-use pathway along 10 Side Road will be maintained.
No disruption to waste collection or mail delivery is anticipated the Region said they will make every effort to complete the construction work as quickly as possible to minimize the impact of the closure.
