Loud vehicle causes disturbances in downtown Burlington, $330 fine issued

A disruptive incident unfolded in downtown Burlington when a loud noisemaker(a car illegally modified by removing the muffler) backfired this evening (July 11), according to a tweet by Halton Regional Police Service.
Authorities say that car was stationed at Brant St., when the noise caught the attention of a Burlington police officer several blocks away.
As a result, the driver of the vehicle was issued multiple citations, totaling $330.
The infractions included unnecessary noise, improper muffler, and obstructed license plate due to a tinted plate cover.
