Lockdown at Oakville school due to threats

UPDATE: The lockdown has been lifted. Oakville Trafalgar High School has been cleared by officers and is deemed safe. Police presence can be expected in the area. Investigation is continuing.
A high school in Oakville is on lockdown and police are investigating threats made against the school.
Around 8:10 on Wednesday morning (Nov. 16), Halton Regional Police said the Oakville Trafalgar High School, located at 1460 Devon Rd., was placed on lockdown.
Parents and students are asked not to attend the school while police investigate “a threat made against the school.”
Police made the announcement on Twitter and did not disclose what the threat was or how police were notified.
The Oakville Trafalgar High School has made headlines in recent months.

The Halton District School Board (HDSB) has issued a report that recommends against adopting a system-wide dress code over fears of legal implications and human rights violations.
