Last chance to get a free tree in Burlington

There is still time for Burlington residents to order a free tree.

And you have a choice.

Shagbark Hickory, Basswood, Ironwood, Balsam Fir, and Mountain Ash are all available.

The deadline to register has now been extended to 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 19.

Once you register and are accepted, the pickup date is Saturday, Sept. 21.

Pickup time is dependent on the species selected but generally, it will be between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The location for pickup is Roads, Parks and Forestry Operations Centre, 3330 Harvester Road.

The trees will be in 3-gallon pots and range in height from 40 to 200 cm. A City staff member will place the tree in your vehicle.
