The final day to have your input heard about the future of Regional Road 25 is tomorrow (Friday, April 14).
Halton Region has initiated a study for Regional Road 25 (which is also known as Hwy. 25 and Bronte Rd.) from Speers Rd. in Oakville to Derry Road in Milton.
The Region is considering a wide range of options for the main arterial road to improve network connectivity and address forecasted travel demand.
Among the options are:
- Widening of the roadway
- Cross-sectional requirements to accommodate multi-modal travel
- Active transportation
- Intersection improvements
- Overall traffic operations
The study will look at the impact of such improvements on the social, cultural and natural environments.
Halton Region is carrying out this study in accordance with the MCEA process to address the future travel demand in the Towns of Oakville and Milton to 2031, and support all modes of transportation to contribute to a safe and inclusive multi-modal transportation system for all road users.
