A large residential complex with a unique design has been proposed for a busy Burlington area that has been long used for industrial purposes.

The building, proposed for 2362 Fairview St. near Guelph Line, calls for 338 residences ranging from bachelor to larger units with two or more bedrooms as well as ground floor, two-storey townhouses. The ground floor will also be able to accommodate stores and other commercial-use spaces.

If the project receives approval from the City of Burlington to proceed, an 11-storey structure will rise in the lot that is currently vacant and feature a C-shape design.

A community meeting to discuss the project is planned for Jan. 17 at 6 p.m. via a webinar. Representatives of the builder will be available to answer questions as will members of the City of Burlington planning department.

Details to attend the meeting can be found here.
