Knife used to threaten Burlington drug store workers

Three masked bandits used a knife to empty out the safe and cash registers of a Burlington drug store.

According to police reports, the men went into the IDA Pharmacy on Upper Middle Rd. around 1 p.m. on Jan. 4.

Once inside one of the men pulled out a knife and forced a store employee to open a safe where cash and drugs were taken.

As well, the trio also forced workers to hand over money from the cash register.

There were no injuries and no indication of how much money was taken or the value of the narcotics.

Suspects were described as Black males wearing masks and hooded sweaters.
