An Oakville couple had a knife pulled on them in the parking lot of a Guelph mall on Tuesday evening (Oct. 29).
Guelph Police were called just after 7 p.m. about several people fighting outside the Stone Road Mall at 435 Stone Road West.
An investigation revealed that the Oakville couple had arrived in Guelph with plans to visit their son after a stop at the mall.
As the couple headed back to their car in the parking lot, they saw that one of their vehicle’s widows was smashed and there was a person inside.
They confronted the woman, but she denied she had taken anything and then fled on foot.
Police say the couple chased the woman, before being confronted by a man. The man then punched the husband and then took out a large knife.
The two suspects fled in a black Ford Fusion with Quebec licence plates.
The first suspect is described as a five-foot-two Black female with an athletic build. She had short hair and a nose piercing.
The second suspect was a five-foot-nine Black male with a thin build. He had exceedingly long, braided hair and wore a black sweater and blue jeans.
