Kite festival comes to Burlington

The skies over Burlington will be a little more colourful this weekend as the Uttarayan Kite Festival comes to town.

Presented by the Halton Community and Cultural Association (HCCA), the festival will take place at Brant Hills Park on Sunday, June 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The park is located at 2300 Duncaster Dr.

The Uttarayan is an Indian festival where people meet to fly kites and take part in competitions to determine who has the best skills.

The local festival is a ticketed event and will take part in shifts throughout the day.

With the price of admission comes parking, food and music.
