Injured woman rescued after fall at Mount Nemo in Burlington

A woman is in hospital after sustaining injuries from a reported fall of approximately 30 feet at Mount Nemo Conservation Area in Burlington this morning.

Burlington Fire Department crews reportedly used ropes and a basket to hoist the injured hiker to safety before Halton paramedics transported her to the hospital.

The extent of the woman’s injuries remains unknown and officials have not further identified her, including her age or place of residence.

It’s also unclear if the victim was alone or accompanied by others.
