Indoor trick-or-treat event returning to Burlington shopping centre with a high tech twist

The Mapelview Shopping Centre in Burlington is set to be relaunching its indoor Halloween Trick-or-Treat event at the end of the month.

Scheduled for October 30, 2024, this annual event allows guests to go door-to-door with participating retailers within the Mapelview Shopping Centre and get their candy fix while engaging in traditional trick-or-treat activities.

“We’re delighted to host families and the community for a special spook-tacular Halloween at Mapleview Centre!” said Rita Donnelly, General Manager of the Mapleview Shopping Centre in an official statement. “This annual event provides an indoor setting where guests can enjoy trick-or-treating and capture memorable moments with friends and family ahead of Halloween.”

Operating parallel to the more traditional Halloween activities is also a photo booth that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create generated backgrounds with input from guests — allowing for some truly spooky photos.

Retailers throughout the shopping centre will display Trick-or-Treat posters in their store windows and will be handing out candy until supplies run dry.

Participants are being asked to bring their own Halloween buckets or bags when attending the event.
