Indoor swimming pool closing for Oakville swim meet

An east-end indoor swimming pool in Oakville will be closed this weekend.

The Iroquois Ridge Community Centre Pool is hosting the Oakville Aquatic Club Swim Meet on October 19 and 20.

“All registered swimming and drop-in programs are cancelled,” the Town of Oakville announced.

The eight-lane swimming pool includes a water slide, hydro jets, and stair access. A full range of swim classes for ages four to adult, public and private swim lessons, leadership, and specialty classes, are also available at the pool.

Residents looking for other swimming opportunities can drop by one of Oakville’s other indoor swimming facilities at:

• Glen Abbey Community Centre – 1415 Third Line
• Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre – 325 Reynolds Street
• Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre – 2302 Bridge Road
• White Oaks Pool – 1330 Montclair Drive
