For many Burlington families, the official launch of the holiday season begins with the Candlelit Stroll.
The annual event attracts large crowds as they walk through downtown as participants enjoy several activities along the way.
This year the stroll takes place on Friday, Nov. 24 starting at 6 p.m. in the Civic Square where glow sticks and route maps will be distributed and the lighting of the Tree of Hope will take place. The Burlington Teen Tour Band will perform at the square.
From there, participants can walk through Burlington’s downtown on a self-lead tour and receive snacks, listen to music, have their picture taken and enjoy other giveaways from merchants of the Burlington Downtown Business Association.
“For those willing to brave the cold and even for those who prefer the great indoors, we have a full line-up of activities throughout the night for everyone to enjoy,” event organizers say about the activities. “From incredible live music with the Teen Tour Band, to visits with Santa, it’ll be an experience you won’t want to miss.”
