Oakville is celebrating Recreation and Parks month by offering a free swim this Saturday (June 15) in four of the town's pools.

With soaring temperatures resulting in heat warnings and unbearable humidity, finding ways to cool off is key come summertime.

The Town of Oakville has one way and best of all it’s really easy on the wallet.

This summer, the outdoor pools in town will be taking turns hosting a free all-ages recreational swim on Wednesday evenings.

The first free swim is scheduled for Wednesday night (July 10) at Falgarwood Pool, located at 1349 Gainsborough Drive.

Cancellations will be updated on the Town of Oakville’s social media accounts. (@townofoakville).

Town of Oakville pools are open year-round and offer a variety of swimming and aquatic programs.

Outdoor pools are closed during thunderstorms and refunds will be issues as applicable. Ran days are non-refundable as the outdoor pools remain open.

The town also offers a Summer Fun Pass where residents ages 2 to 17 can enjoy drop-in recreational swims from June 1 to September 2. The cost per pass is $45.06.
