Local residents who want to have their say about the Town of Milton’s 2024 budget should mark Dec. 4 on their calendar.

Councillors will be discussing the 2024 capital and operating budgets at the meeting that gets underway at 7 p.m.

“While the Province’s Bill 3 amended the Municipal Act to provide for the Mayor to present the annual budget to Council, Mayor Gord Krantz approved a budget process that remains largely the same and continues to provide opportunity for input from the public and Council,” said a Town spokesperson.

Right now, the projected increase in the blended tax rate is estimated at 5.37 per cent. Milton’s portion of the blended increase is 3.8 per cent. This is the overall impact to your property tax bill also includes increases from Halton region and the local school boards.
