Halton police’s commercial vehicle unit to host a pair of information sessions in Oakville

Registering a commercial vehicle and vehicle weight restrictions are some of the topics that will be discussed at two public information nights hosted by the Halton Regional Police Service – Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit (CMV) later this month in Oakville.
Both information sessions will include a short presentation on how to complete a proper pre-trip inspection report and follow with an open period for questions and answers.
The first meeting will take place on Thursday, April 20 and the second is scheduled for Wednesday, May 31.
Both will be held in the community room at the Halton Regional Police Service Headquarters located at 2485 North Service Rd. W., from 7 to 9 p.m.
The two special meetings are ideal for any new business operators, (including landscapers, contractors), or any Commercial Vehicle Owner/Operator who may have questions about:
- Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR’s)
- Pre-trip inspection reports
- Operator hours of service
- Periodic Mandatory Commercial Vehicle Inspection (PMCVI) Certificates
- Vehicle weight restrictions
The sessions will feature officers from the CMV who are Certified Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Certified Inspectors.
