Halton police investigating a fatal shooting in Georgetown

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on a residential street in the area of Monarch Drive and Niagara Trail in the town of Halton Hills (Georgetown).

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on a residential street in the area of Monarch Drive and Niagara Trail in the town of Halton Hills (Georgetown).

Police responded to a 9-1-1 phone call on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, just after 11 p.m, that reported the shooting.

Upon their arrival, police found a deceased, adult male outside a residence that had been shot. Police are treating this investigation as a homicide.

Police are urging anyone in the area of Monarch drive and Niagara Trail with CCTV cameras who may be able to provide information to investigators to contact Halton Regional Police.

The Homicide Bureau has taken charge of the investigation and anyone with further information should contact 905-825-4776.
