The Halton Learning Foundation (HLF) is currently collecting donations for the back-to-school season.
Members of the Halton District School Board (HDSB) community who are able to donate, are being encouraged to do so in order to help students in need prior to the beginning of the school year.
The goal of their campaign, called “fill a backpack,” aims to collect clothes, school supplies and opportunities for a total of 175 HDSB students.
“Many Halton students are going back to school this year with empty backpacks,” said the HLF on Twitter.
“You can help the 1 in 10 HDSB students who need clothes, food and school supplies to start the year ready to learn.”
