The annual Ski and Snowboard Swap hosted by Milton’s Glen Eden is coming up this weekend.

Skiing is a popular winter hobby for residents across the region and people from Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills and this annual event is a great chance for people to ease some of the costs while they’re still new.

It’s also an opportunity for seasoned skiers and snowboarders to get rid of their old equipment and make a few bucks in the process.

“Each year, Milton Heights Racing Club hosts an annual Ski and Snowboard Swap,” said a spokesperson.

“It’s organized to help fund our not-for-profit programs at our club based at Glen Eden. Over the years, our swap has grown to be one of the biggest in Ontario.

“If you have either new or used ski and snowboard equipment that you would like to sell or if you are looking for good deals on new or used equipment, the swap is where you want to be.”

Used equipment can be dropped off at Conservation Halton’s Area 8 park, 5437 Steeles Ave.

The dropoff times are:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 2, 6-9 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 3, 1-7 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 4, 1-7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m.-noon

During the swap meet, visitors will be able to see a wide selection of both new and used snow sports gear and equipment. Professional fitting and sizing advice is also available.

The shopping hours are:

  • Thursday, Oct. 3, 4-9 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 4, 4-9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
