Glass Tiger is bringing its collection of iconic hits to the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.
The Canadian rock band from Newmarket, which shot to fame with classic hits “Don’t Forget Me (When I’m Gone),” and “Someday” in 1986, is set to hit the stage at the AEG Liebherr Auditorium on December 6, 2024, at 8 p.m.
The band features members Alen Frew, on lead vocals, Sam Reid, on keyboard instruments, Al Connelly, on guitar, Wayne Parker, on bass, and Chris McNeil, on drums.
Formed in 1983 under the name Tokyo, the hitmakers would release five studio albums, including their 1986 debut album The Thin Red Line which went quadruple platinum in Canada and gold in the United States.
“Don’t Forget Me,” featuring the vocals of fellow Canadian rocker Bryan Adams, and “Someday” reached the U.S. top 10.
After years spent cutting their teeth on the bar scene under the name Tokyo, the rising band would ink a worldwide recording deal with Capital Records in 1985.
The Thin Red Line and its five hit singles would rocket up the charts and become the fastest-selling debut in Canadian history.
Tickets are $85 for regular seating, $78 for Big Ticket members, and $74 for Big Ticket Plus members.
