If you want to explore the spiritual side of pet ownership, you can stop by St. Aidan’s Anglican Church in Oakville.

This Sunday, Oct. 1, Reverend Fran Wallace will preside over the blessing of the animals, an annual event held by the congregation located at 318 Queen Mary Dr.

Starting at 10 a.m., all members of the community are invited to bring their furry and feathered family members to the church where a special blessing will be given.

Those who have lost a beloved pet are encouraged to bring a photo.

The Blessing for the Animals will be held on the front lawn of the church weather permitting or indoors.
