Many students from Burlington, Milton, Oakville and Halton Hills will be learning all about water at this year’s Halton Children’s Water Festival, Sept. 26-29.
The annual festival, co-hosted by Conservation Halton and Halton Region, provides curriculum-linked education about all aspects of water through inquiry and investigation for students in Grades 2 to 5.
More than 3,500 students will visit Kelso Conservation Area for the event and will experience hands-on learning at dozens of unique activity stations.
“The HCWF is hosted at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton and combines Ontario curriculum requirements and offers fun, hands-on learning activity centres that are displayed throughout the event in a natural outdoor setting,” said an event spokesperson.
The event is held in partnership with both Halton school boards, the Conservation Halton Foundation, City of Burlington, Town of Halton Hills, Town of Oakville and Wilfrid Laurier University.
