Free outdoor movies this week in Burlington

Two outdoor movie series are operating this summer in Burlington and this week you can catch a couple of family favourites.

The movies are free to attend.

Tomorrow, July 23, The Wizard will be showing under the stars at Spencer Smith Park.

Presented by the Burlington Downtown Business Association (BDBA) as part of the Movies by the Lake series, The Wizard is a 1989 film starring Fred Savage. It is a story about two young brothers who travel across the country with a friend to compete in the ultimate video-game championship.

Along with the movie, local vendors will be available and a film trivia contest will be held.

The movie starts at 8:30 p.m.

Then, on Thursday, July 25, Trolls 3: Band Together will be shown at LaSalle Park, 50 North Shore Boulevard East.

This film is part of the Movies Under the Stars series presented by the City of Burlington at different locations throughout the summer.

This animated film is about some friends who discover that a member of a once-famous pop band has been kidnapped and they embark on a journey to find him and reunite the band.

The movie begins at dusk.

For both films, attendees should bring a chair or some blankets.

If it rains the events will be cancelled.
