The City of Burlington is offering up free food in exchange for your opinions.

This Saturday, Sept. 14, Food for Feedback will see city employees set up in a park and hand out free food in exchange for input on such issues as transit, the restoration of civic square and recreational needs, among other topics.

The session takes place from noon to 4 p.m. at Central Park at 2299 New St.

Those in attendance will get a free lunch from a food truck in exchange for feedback on city projects and initiatives.

Along with representatives from various city departments, some members of city council will also be present.

Topics that will be open for discussion are:

  • issues for seniors
  • volunteer programs
  • neighbourhood concerns
  • the future of old Robert Bateman High School
  • the official plan
  • recreation needs
  • dealing with City staff
  • Burlington Transit
  • renovations at City Hall
  • Mundialization
  • climate change

Vegetarian and Halal food options will be available and if it rains the event will be held indoors at the Burlington Seniors’ Centre.
