Four teens arrested after pharmacy robbery and police pursuit in Oakville

Four teenagers were arrested following an alleged armed robbery and police pursuit in Oakville last night.
On Monday, Jan. 15, at around 7:30 p.m., Halton Police responded to a report of an in-progress armed robbery of a pharmacy in the area of Westoak Trails and Bronte Rd..
Police said four masked male suspects entered the business, showed a handgun and assaulted two female employees inside. All four made good their escape after obtaining a quantity of narcotics and an undisclosed quantity of cash.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle the suspects were in, however the vehicle fled and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued a short distance before all involved parties were ultimately arrested.
Charged with several robbery, weapons, and driving offences are three youths (ages 14 to 16) and one 18-year-old adult.
“Totally unnecessary and appalling violence will NOT be tolerated,” said Halton Police Chief Stephen Tanner on his X (formerly Twitter) account. “Glad to see 4 accused persons in custody and held for bail. Great work by our front line Oakville officers. #notinourtown”
