Four days of no school for students in Oakville, Burlington, Halton Hills and Milton

Students across Halton Region are getting an extra long weekend.

Starting Feb. 16, elementary and secondary school students in both the Catholic and public school systems will begin their mini-vacation, first with a PA day and will continue throughout the weekend and include Family Day on Monday, Feb. 19.

The PA days will be used by teachers for planning and to create strategies for students to achieve higher grades.

On Monday, everybody in Ontario will be able to enjoy the day off on the day set aside for families to do whatever they like.

During the closures, school buses will not be operating.

Classes will resume as usual on Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Professional Activities (PA) Days:

• Friday, Feb. 16, 2024 – (Elementary and Secondary)
• Monday, April 8, 2024 – (Elementary and Secondary)
• Monday, June 3, 2024 – (Elementary)
