Canada Day celebrations are coming back to Milton Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 1.

The event is being organized by the Halton Agricultural Society and will feature food, fun and, of course, fireworks.

Gates to the fairgrounds open at 2 p.m. and among the activities are face painting, inflatables, lawn games, arts and crafts, exotic animals exhibit, a midway with rides, beer tent, live entertainment and several food trucks.

Fireworks are scheduled after sunset and the gates will close for the day at 10:30 p.m.

The day will start with the Veteran’s Breakfast at Victoria Park at 11 a.m.

Residents can enjoy either peameal bacon on a bun or pancakes and sausages for $5 (free for veterans)

A parade march will then follow, as it leads to the fairgrounds.

Milton Fairgrounds is located at 136 Robert St.
